We are delighted to have supplied photography to Reaktion Books' new title, Jellyfish by Peter Williams. Drawing upon myth and historical sources as well as modern scientific advances, Peter Williams' publication examines our ambiguous relationship with these ancient and yet ill-understood animals, describing their surprisingly complex anatomy, weaponry and habits, and their vital contribution to the ocean’s ecosystem. Described as 'handsomely illustrated' by The Economist, the book features various photographs from our library, including this beautiful capture of a Lion's Mane Jellyfish.
